ISLAMABAD:
US lobbyist Mark Siegel, who was a key witness in the Benazir Bhutto murder case, has refused to come to Pakistan on Tuesday for recording his statement in the case, according to sources.
An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had summoned Mark Siegel yesterday to appear on Tuesday. However, the US journalist refused to come to Islamabad over security concerns.
He said the journalist was willing to record statement through video link.
The case was later adjourned till April 6 without proceeding due to transfer of the ATC judge Pervez Ismail Joeya whose orders were issued by the government as District and Sessions Judge Chakwal.
Siegel had held former president Pervez Musharraf responsible for ex-PM Benazir Bhutto’s killing.
