Three killed, four injured in city

As many as three persons were killed and four others injured in different incidents on Thursday.

A man, Faiq, 34, resident of Nazimabad, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Nazimabad No 2. The body was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

In another incident, a man, Manzoor, 40, son of Noor Mohammad, resident of Korangi area, was stabbed to death by an unknown assailant in his house in Korangi No 5. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

A railways constable was gunned down by unidentified armed men on resistance to robbery near Shaheen Complex, II Chundigar Road. The body was brought to Civil Hospital for an autopsy.

Yet in another incident, two persons, Asif, aged about 32, son of Afzal and Atif, 27, son of Yousuf, residents of Shah Faisal Town, were shot and injured by unidentified gunmen near Noorani Kabab, Shahrah-e-Qaideen. They were brought to JPMC for treatment.

Separately, Akhtar, 40, son of Amaullah, resident of Mominabad, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near a graveyard in Mominabad area. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.

A man, Arif, 42, son of Abdul Salam, resident of Shadman Town, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men over resistance to robbery near Allied Bank in Shadman Town No 2. He was brought to ASH for treatment.
