On his return to India after a successful tour to Pakistan, veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah expressed regret at the animosity towards Pakistan prevalent in India.
Naseeruddin Shah was in Pakistan in February to promote his bookAnd then one day: A Memoir. He also graced the Lahore Literary Festival and conducted a theater workshop at the Karachi Arts Council to a packed audience.
In an interview to entertainment website Bollywood Hungama, Shah said, “It is tragic that often-times performers from Pakistan are prevented from performing in this country. Recently, there was a very disturbing instance of a Pakistani artiste’s work being destroyed in Ahmedabad. But they welcome us in Pakistan with open arms.”
He stressed the need to keep political differences between the two countries aside.
“I keep going to Pakistan because I feel it is very important to have a person-to-person contact. We can’t afford to be swayed by all the political rhetoric. Politicians will change colours whenever it suits them. Indians are being brainwashed into believing Pakistan to be the enemy country without being aware of the historical background.”
There is hatred on both sides.
That means all Muslims including Shah are saints.

let us accept the fact. from average indian to highly placed indians, there is a negative impression about pakistan and pakistani's. daily sectarian killings, karachi no go areas, MQM's goonda raj in karachi, talibans of all shape, hostile ISI, training camps, sacred judges, support to leaders who planted riots in Mumbai etc, weak political leadership, international negative impressions, malalas plight, haqqani's exit, zias blasphemy law, liquidation of Christians, conversions of hindu girls, killings of shias are just few which have escaped the attention of Nassirudin. did he read about killings of 132 children in just 30 minutes. will he garland the killers. what is he talking about. He is a good actor. But i never thought he could be an idiot too.

What I said was it seems more like Naseer is 'brainwashed' by may be Pakistani hospitality and the uncalled for notoriety given to this 'mediocre' & 'overrated' actor, or may be he is contemplating getting his 'third' young wife from Pakistan soon!
