You have proven again that it is only the cosmetic changes which the airline management is interested in by projecting that air hostess’s uniform change will improve its image whereas the airline’s image is not dependent on what the crew or staff is wearing but how they are behaving. Instead of spending millions on useless exercise, the PIA management should spend some dollars on training of the staff and making them realise that passengers have spent hard earned money to travel with them and they deserve “good behaviour” even if they are wearing old uniforms.
The problem with our corporate management is that they adopt visible changes quickly without realising that they don’t last long. So my advice to PIA management is not to spend time on its chairman travelling in economy as many before him did the same, only they didn’t project it. I am sure the chairman wouldn’t travel on a long haul flight in economy. I dare him.
