PML-N leader Shakil Awan has moved an appeal plea in Supreme Court (SC) against the rejection of a petition filed by him in the Election Tribunal (ET) seeking the disqualification of Sheikh Rashid, Chief of Awami Muslim League.
Shakil Awan has taken the plea in his appeal that Sheikh Rashid has concealed his real assets worth million of rupees and he lied while filing his nomination papers. Sheikh Rashid does not come up to article 62 of the constitution. Therefore, he should be declared disqualified from National Assembly seat the decision of ET be set aside.
Shakil Awan had approached ET for the disqualification of Sheikh Rashid but his petition was rejected and he has now filed an appeal plea against the decision of ET.
