Speaking during his visit to Counter-Terrorism Centre in Pibbi on Wednesday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif vowed to eradicate terrorism from every nook and corner of the country and expressed resolve to support security agencies, advising them to carry out their duties without fear.
“We have resolved to cleanse Pakistan from all kinds of terrorism. Let’s join hands! Operations must continue fearlessly,” he said.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Sharif visited Pibbi to inspect passing-out parade of the first batch.
Addressing the soldiers at the occasion, the army chief said that security forces of the country should carry out their duties without any fear, adding that public should identify enemies hiding in the ranks of population.
General Sharif said that capacity of the anti-terrorist forces would be increased soon. He said that anti-terrorist forces which will have the capacity to chase the targets till destination are being readied.
According to ISPR, 500 security personnel have been trained in the first batch which includes 200 personnel from Rangers, Frontier Force, Special Police Department, 200 personnel from Elite Force and 100 personnel each from Navy and Airforce.
Senior military, police leadership, home secretaries of provinces were also present.
