Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have agreed on taking legal action against enraged protesters, who burnt two men following the attack on Youhanabad churches, and trying them in a military court.
A meeting was held between the interior minister and Punjab CM on Wednesday, in which issues related to Youhanabad attacks were discussed, including the lynching of two men and damage to public property.
Condemning the Youhanabad incident, the interior minister termed the immolation of two men an act of terrorism and said that the act’s perpetrators will be brought to justice.
Both the leaders also agreed that action will also be taken against police officers found negligent in the incident.
The chief minister said that law will be implemented and investigations are underway against people involved the in the attacks.
