PML-N leader killed in Peshawar, TTP claims responsibility

Banned terrorist organisation Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Wednesday took responsibility for the killing of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Peshawar President Haji Sardar Khan.

He was shot dead in Yakatoot area of the city.

Last year in July, president of the Khuzdar city chapter of PML-N, Haji Muhammad Alam Jattak was shot dead in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district.

In November 2014, militants had fired a rocket targeting the residence of PML-N’s provincial leader Nawab Sanaullah Zehri in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district.

Nawab Zehri’s brother, son, nephew were killed in a powerful blast prior to the May 11, 2013 general elections in the same area.
