Justin Bibi’s have gone viral ever since their rendition of Justin Beiber’s song ‘Baby’, however, they made their debut in the World Cup song which is now being aired on all local channels.
Becoming stars in a short span of time, the Bibi’s have sung a version of this year’s anthem for Coke inspired by Matt Slogett and Kasey Carlone’s famed 1992 hit ‘Who Rules The World’.
In fact, the new video’s director, Adnan Malik, says: “When I first saw the video of the girls on Facebook, I knew instantly that I wanted to find them.”
Since the girls barely speak English, they learnt the lyrics by sounding out the words and transcribing them into Urdu.
Growing up in a very poor neighbourhood on the outskirts of Lahore, their newfound fame has been life-changing. They were picked up by local TV channels and were invited to perform live.
The girls, who were taken out of school because they were too poor, say they now hope to meet Justin Bieber. They have already appeared on local television to perform live.
“We really didn’t expect all of this to happen to us, to be famous like this. Because of this video we got on a plane for the first time and we’ve been on TV. That’s always been our dream,” the sisters added.
