President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday said that the economy of the country had improved as a result of prudent policies adopted by the PML-N led government.
He stated this while addressing the convocation of the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences in Islamabad.
He said that Pakistan had initiated a number of infrastructure and development projects in cooperation with China, adding that the implementation of these projects was imperative for the development of the country.
He said the Pak-China Economic Corridor would bring an economic revolution in the country and help create a huge number of employment opportunities.
Commenting on the energy crisis, he said energy projects would help overcome the power shortage in the country.
Hussain stressed the need for making science a way of development and trickling down its fruit to people.
He said that nuclear energy has a vital role in the development and prosperity of the country. It will not only help generate cheap electricity, but also promote industrialisation, the President stated.
He urged students to pay full attention towards their education for their individual development, and that of the country.
Hussain also distributed degrees and medals to students in different disciplines.
