The Pakistan Army on Monday said that the government’s writ has been established in Bara and announced the successful conclusion of Operation Khyber-I.
In-charge of the military operation in Bara region of Khyber Agency, Brigadier Zahid Khan announced the successful end of the operation.
He said that the armed forces have established the government’s writ in the region.
Brig Zahid said that over 100 militants were killed during the operation, while around 450 terrorists have been arrested for their involvement in anti-state activities.
The operation in-charge said that no militant group would now be allowed to take root in the area.
The Pakistan Army had launched Operation Khyber-I in October 2014, to clear Bara tehsil. The main aim of the operation was to clear the region starting from Bara and going up until the border of Tirah valley.
