National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has said NAB is aggressively pursuing awareness and prevention campaign throughout the country to curb corruption as it has been mandated under section 33C of National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999 to educate and advise public authorities, holders of public office and the community at large on measures to combat corruption and corrupt practices.
In line with the Awareness and Prevention Campaign to curb corruption and corrupt practices, NAB has conducted National Seminar on Anti–Corruption at the eve of World Anti-Corruption Day and Anti Corruption Awareness Walk at Aiwan-e-Sadre which was chaired by President of Pakistan shows the commitment of the Government at highest level to curb corruption.
He said inauguration of commemorative Postal Stamp with NAB message “Say No to Corruption” and printing of NAB message on 2.4 million electricity bills by IESCO from February 2015, photograph of Pakistan Cricket Team carrying NAB message, photograph of Pakistan Hockey Team carrying NAB message, PIA for dissemination of NAB message on all PIA in country and abroad flights, NAB message on National Highways and Motorways with the help of Motorway Police and Islamabad Traffic Police for printing of NAB message on all driving licenses issued from March 2015 shows NAB’s serious efforts and commitment with the cause to adopt zero tolerance against the menace of corruption.
