Islamic State (IS) militants have released pictures of a baby dressed as one of their fighters with a live grenade balanced on his chest, the Mirror reported.
In some of their most disturbing propaganda photographs until now, a 12-year-old boy was seen fighting on the front-line armed with a US-made M16 assault rifle.
The images are reflective of the group’s aim to radicalise the younger generations.
Senior fighters have encouraged wives and mothers to photograph their children in IS branded merchandise, show them graphic images of their ‘Holy War’ and read them bed time stories about the death and destruction in Iraq and Syria.
One wife of an IS fighter dressed her toddler in an ammunition vest and replaced his baby rattle with a deadly grenade.
The regime has also encouraged the younger generation onto the front like in clear violation of all human norms and values. A young boy seen photographed at a checkpoint in Syria was described by the IS as “our youngest lion.”
With low manpower among the forces, children are being used to fill in the ranks after only 45 days of training. Children and brainwashed in training camps where they are beaten and trained to use live weapons.
