Nine outlaws, five suspects held, contraband seized

Islamabad Police arrested nine outlaws and five suspects during high vigilance in the city besides recovering 1.25 kilograms of hashish, 58 liquor bottles and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

He said Islamabad IGP Tahir Alam Khan directed all SDPOs and SHOs to enhance patrolling as well as checking in various areas of the city and conduct search operation at slum areas, Afghan habitats, under construction buildings, workshops, bus stands and inns.

Following his directives, sub-divisional police officer performing in Islamabad headed this search operation. Station house officers of Tarnol and Shehzad Town police stations along with police team conducted search in the area of Dorray, area near EME College, Faisal Colony, Margalla Town and under construction buildings as well as plazas there. Police teams succeeded to nab five suspects who are being investigated further.

Meanwhile, police teams of Secretariat, Margalla, Tarnol, Sabzi Mandi and Koral police arrested nine accused namely Muddassir, Hassan, Sami Shaikh, Sohail Khan, Faisal, Saqib Basheer, Ifnan Anwer, Akbar and Gulfam.

The total recovery made from these outlaws included 1.75 kilograms of hashish, 200 grams of heroin, 58 liquor bottles, two 30-bore pistols and one 12-bore gun along with ammunition.
