CDA officials selling allotted property to land mafia

The officials of Capital Development Authority (CDA) have reportedly started fraudulent practice of selling allotment papers of Islamabad victims to property dealers.

Informed sources said representatives of land mafia in the capital are indulging in this dirty business as the CDA has failed to open new residential sectors despite massive increase in population.

A report said that these papers are being sold between Rs 2 million to Rs 8 million. The sources said that during the last few days, duplicate copies of more than 100 files have been sold to the land mafia. Similarly papers of allottees of D-12, G-14 and I-16 have also been sold to the land mafia and the officials involved in corruption made millions of rupees.

A group of the land mafia is investigating about the allottees who have already expired to get hold of their plots. . After getting such information, duplicate papers are prepared and then sold to the failed property dealers who are desperate to make money.

Officials said that concerned officials are deliberately delaying the development or opening of new sectors in order to escalate the prices and benefit the property dealers who pay them handsome commission.
