Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani says removal of hate-material from curriculum is a remarkable victory of minorities
Pakistan Hindu Council Patron-In-Chief MNA Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has highly appreciated the services of newly-appointed National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) chairman, saying that progress made by him for the preparation of Hindu marriage and death certificates is remarkable.
Talking to the journalists outside the Supreme Court on Thursday he said that he himself presented the NADRA certificates sample copies to the two-member apex court, headed by the chief justice, on Thursday during the hearing regarding minorities’ rights.
Dr Vankwani said that the Sindh government following the orders of Supreme Court, has also removed hate material in the curriculum and in this regard, a copy of the revised curriculum, that will be taught in the educational institutions across the province, has also been submitted to the court for review.
Moreover, the Supreme Court has ordered other provincial governments to offer hate-free syllabus also, Dr Vankwani informed, terming this a great victory of all minorities living in Pakistan and acknowledged them for their successful struggle. He also lauded the brave role of Thattha DPO Fida Hussain Mastoi for providing protection to the local minorities’ citizens.
Regarding the protection of minorities worship holy places, the Supreme Court was briefed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has accepted its failure to not hand over the Samadhi (Shrine) of Shri Param Hans Jee Maharaj so far, he further said. He told that the registration of Hindu temples and holy places is under process and in this regard, he has meetings with the government high-ups.
Dr Vankwani also pointed out that all provincial governments were unable to finalize the Security Plan for the protection of minorities worship places. The Supreme Court has reportedly ordered the provincial governments to prepare the Security Plan with the collaboration of Dr Vankwani and present the final plan along with the details of necessary required defense equipment, during the next hearing on April 16.
