The Islamabad Accountability Court on Wednesday reserved the decision on former president Asif Ali Zardari’s petition for acquittal in corruption cases till March 16.

Accountability Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the corruption references of SGS and Cotecna against the former president.

Arguing the case, Zardari’s lawyer Farooq H Naik said that the investigating officer had said that he had never seen the original documents. The prosecutor of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) told the court that the original record of the case is not with NAB. The court reserved the judgment in the case and adjourned the hearing until March 16, while giving last chance to the NAB to present the original documents as evidence.
