11 robbers nabbed, valuables seized

Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has arrested 11 robbers and seized gold ornaments, cash and other looted valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Following the directions from Islamabad IGP Tahir Alam Khan to maintain high vigilance in the city, SP (Investigation) constituted special teams to apprehend those involved in criminal activities. These teams, headed by CIA DSP Bashir Ahmed Noon and comprising sub-inspectors Muhammad Tehseen, Tariq Rauf, ASIs Ameer Sajjad, Suleman Shah, Tipu Sultan, Zafar Iqbal, started vigilance and enhanced patrolling in various areas.

These CIA teams succeeded to arrest 11 criminals who were identified as Ibrar, Shabbir, Suleman, Owais, Nazakat, Arshad, Nauman Mansoor, Waqas Javed, Shahid Zaman, Bilal and Javed. These nabbed criminals confessed to commit various robberies at gun point in areas of Margallah, Koral, Secretariat and Sihala police stations.

Police recovered two cars, seven mobile phones, gold ornaments, weapons and ammunition from their possession. Further investigation is underway from them and police is hopeful for more recovery from them.
