PUC for reshaping country’s internal, external policies

Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Central Chairman Tahir Ashrafi Sunday underlined the need for taking concrete measures for the government to reshape its internal and foreign policy to overcome scourge of terrorism and extremism in the country.

Flanked by Zahid Mehmood Qasmi, member Pakistan Ideology Council, the council’s central chairman told media persons in a press conference that currently the government was pursing internal and external policy which had been framed following 9/11 incident.

He had arrived to attend Khtam-e-Nabwat(PBUH) Conference held under the auspicious the district’s chapter of Pakistan Ulema Council. He said those policies were providing opportunity to external powers to interfere and influence the country’s matters on internal and external front.

As a result, he added, such flawed polices had led to the heinous acts of terrorism such as one took place at Peshawar, killing innocent school children.

Condemning the Peshawar tragedy, he said all bodies of the Uelma had strongly condemned the incident and had rejected terrorism in all its forms and manifestation.
