MULTAN
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the new terminal of Multan International Airport today (Monday).
The project has been completed withint three years at a cost of Rs.9 billion to provide modern facilities to the passengers.
The project was initiated to expand the existing airport so that Boeing 747 and 777 could land/take off for direct international passengers and cargo flights.
A cargo complex has also been built having storage capacity of 10,000 tons.
Civil Aviation Authority officials say a number of international airlines have applied for operating direct flights to and from Multan.
