Teachers charge Rs 50 for sheets of 6th to 8th class exams!

Over 1,60,000 male and female students from class 6 to 8 will appear in their annual examinations in entire Larkana division and their class teachers have directed all the student to deposit Rs 50 for the answer copies or bring their own answer copy failing which no student will be allowed to appear in the exam.

Most of the high school and higher secondary school students complained to PPI that the present rulers had been making tall claims that education was free from primary to intermediate, but they were charged for answer copies and they had no idea where the tax payer’s money was being utilised.

The annual exams of class 6 to 8 will start from March 16 in five districts of Larkana division including Kambar-Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore and Larkana districts. Previously the answer copies were supplied by the government but since last year, the poor students are forced to bring their own. Last year too, this issue was taken up by the media persons and the Sindh education minister directed had his subordinates to stop it and supply answer copies to the students but this all went fruitless.

This double standard of the education bosses has created many other issues because of non-availability of proper uniform policy. Male and female education directors of Larkana division Razia Pathan and Anwar Khokhar were contacted by the journalists for knowing their point of view but they refused to talk over the issue affecting students since last year. Talking to this scribe, Anwer Khokhar said why the media persons were insisting for comments. He said he was in one a provincial minister’s function and then put his cell phone off.
