National Horse and Cattle Show Day 2: Special tribute presented to APS victims

A special tribute comprising peace tableaus and songs was paid to the martyred children of Peshawar tragedy on the 2nd day of National Horse and Cattle Show on Friday. Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan was the chief guest on the second day evening events and was accompanied by Minister for Irrigation Yawar Zaman. The AJK president was brought to the stadium on a horse cart and his arrival was announced through bigul sound. Real brothers and sisters as well as parents of martyrs were also present on the occasion.

The Punjab Army Band, Ranger Band and Camel Band played tunes and displayed excellent unity and discipline promoting the traditions of living nations. Tent-peggers while reflecting the spirit of moving ahead in difficult situation presented best events of the night which were appreciated by the audience. Traditional dance and folk artists entertained the audience through their art. Horse and camel dance was worth seeing. Rangers’ Youth Candle Parade was a unique act.

SINDH CM LAUDS SHAHBAZ FOR REVIVING THE FESTIVAL:

Earlier, while addressing on the 2nd day of the National Horse and Cattle Show Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the demonstration of culture and traditions of all provinces at the National Horse and Cattle Show is not only impressive but also a symbol of national unity and harmony. He said that holding of such events promote sentiments of love and brotherhood. He thanked Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for inviting him to such a national level show.

Children presented unity tableau and formed the flag of Pakistan which was highly appreciated by the spectators. Cavalcade, tent pegging, horse dance, dog race and PT show were also presented. Military Police presented motorcycle stunts which were appreciated by the audience.

The Sindh chief minister appreciated his counter-part in Punjab for reviving the show after eleven years.

Education Minister Rana Mashhood said that enthusiastic participation of the people of Lahore in the show is proof of their love for the country. He said that civil and military institutions have brought peace in the country through their joint efforts. He said that the items presented by Rangers are highly impressive. He thanked the Sindh chief minister for gracing the show.
