Pakistan People’s Party lawmaker, Sharmila Farooqi, Thursday reached the Sindh Assembly to cast her vote for the Senate elections despite having it her wedding day.
Sharmila Farooqi proved that for her the party comes first. The bride left all the festivities of this beautiful day of her life and reached the Sindh Assembly to prove her loyalty and commitment with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
In her word with media, the PPP lawmaker expressed her pleasure to have set a new record by casting vote on her wedding day. With henna on her hands and feet, blushing with the colors of happiness, Ms Farooqi said notwithstanding her wedding, she could not imagine of wasting her precious vote.
The PPP lawmaker polled the vote and returned to enter a new phase of her life.
