There are strong historical, cultural and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and the ties between the two countries will further strengthen due to the visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while talking to journalist the the Allama Iqbal International Airport after he returned to Lahore from Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
The chief minister said that the historic welcome extended to Pakistani delegation by Khadim-e-Haramain Sharifain Shah Salman bin Abdulaziz will always be remembered. He said that people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are bound together in strong ties of love and brotherhood.
The chief minister further said that the rousing welcome given to the Pakistani prime minister by Shah Salman bin Abdulaziz at the airport fully reflects the warm relations between the two countries.
He said that Saudi Arabia has extended invaluable cooperation for the progress and development of Pakistan and helped it in every hour of need.
He said that Saudi Arabia is a true friend of Pakistan and supported it in every crisis. He said that the people of the two countries are also closely affiliated with each other.
He said that the hearts of the people of the both countries beat together. He said that the leadership and people of Pakistan highly appreciate the cooperation of the Saudi king and people which is an asset for Pakistan.
Good to hear about Saudi-Pakistan relations. I believe the government should discuss with the Saudis some of the sensitive matters that concern all Muslims. I have seen the image of the humble tomb of Hazrat Khadija, peace and mercy be upon her. It was a humble building. Saudis, who profess Wahabbi beliefs, destroyed the building, leveled the grave to make the tomb disappear. Historically speaking Hazrat Khadija is the first Muslim, She holds a prominent place in Islam. Even before the Holy Prophet proclaimed to be a prophet for all mankind, she had recognized that she was the wife of a prophet and had to act like one. Among the Holy Prpphet's early followers she holds the highest status for men and women. I have heard, and I hope my information is incorrect, that Saudis plan to remove the remains of the Holy Prophet from the tomb and bury them in an unmarked grave in the cemetery known as janna tul Baqi, in accordance with their own custom. Perhaps a more informed writer can correct me.
