The employees of Larkana Development Authority (LDA) took out a large rally for the second consecutive day on Thursday which went through main roads of the city and held a protest demonstration at Jinnah Bagh roundabout demanding payment of their monthly salaries which have not been paid to them since last 13 months.
LDA employees Hafeez Chandio, Mehboob Bhutto, Hamid Murtaza Kalhoro and others said that as many as 272 LDA employees from BS-1 to 16 had not been paid their monthly salaries since last 13 months which was injustice and inhuman act, adding it was not expected from democratically elected government of People’s Party to ignore people of Larkana.
They said two of their employees namely Kamran Veesar, who was working as senior clerk, and Zuhaib Abro, who was appointed as junior clerk, both residents of Ratodero, had already died as they had no money to get costly treatment for their ailments and save their precious lives.
