The Islamabad High Court (IHC) failed to take up for hearing the murder case of former MNA Maulana Azam Tariq on Wednesday, as one of the judges hearing the case was on leave.
A large number of police contingents had also been called in but the hearing could be resumed due to the absence of IHC judge Shaukat Aziz Siddique, who is part of the two-member bench hearing the case.
Petitioner Maulana Alam Tariq, while citing Sajid Naqvi as A respondent, has filed a criminal appeal in the IHC.
During the last hearing, the two-bench jury consisting of Justice Siddique and Noorulhaq N Qureshi suspended a notice, which had previously been served on Naqvi, while hearing the case.
