Mobilink has become the only telco to have received the Green Office Certification for three of its business premises in Lahore and Islamabad. The latest WWF Green Office Award 2015 was granted after its Head Office, Mobilink House and adjacent IBC II building, Islamabad premises were successfully audited for their consumption of electricity, paper and the residual solid waste and the awareness level of its employees. Overall, Mobilink was able to decrease its consumption of the above resources by 73%. Mobilink had earlier recorded a 35% reduction in carbon footprint and 50% in solid waste among other measures taken in 2014. The Green Office Award recognizes the continuous efforts that the Mobilink Torchbearers, Mobilink Foundation and the Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) departments have put in to establish Lahore and Islamabad offices as eco-friendly premises.”
