The police arrested 77 suspects including a terrorist during separate search operations and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession in Kohat on Sunday.
The Lachi Police on a tip-off conducted operation in Mohsin Khel locality of Kohat during which a terrorist suspect identified as Imran was arrested along with recovery of two hand grenades, pistol and dozens of rounds from his possession. He was shifted to undisclosed location for further interrogation.
Meanwhile, the police continued search operation in various areas of the district during which it searched 80 rental house, 22 hotels, four inns and six residential plazas.
During search operations 76 suspects were arrested. Automated weapons of 13different kinds and more than 700 rounds were recovered from the possession of detainees.
Meanwhile, directives were issued to 45 schools, 12 colleges and three universities of improve the security measures to make them satisfactory as person asked by the authorities concerned.
