Indian trooper commits suicide in Doda

An Indian trooper committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Doda district, police said.

According to KMS, the trooper, Sandeep Kumar, 27, shot himself with his service rifle at an Army camp in Thathri belt of Doda district.

After hearing the gunshot sound, his colleagues and officers rushed to spot and saw him in a pool of blood. He was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his bullet injuries.

Meanwhile, another Indian trooper, Naik Pardeep Reddy, was killed when an Army vehicle skidded off the road near Kala Mandir Spituk in Leh region of Ladakh.
