Polio vaccination drive rejected in several UCs

Some 6,000 cases of polio vaccination were refused by parents in Khairpur district.

This was revealed by the Technical Officer of District Polio Eradication Committee and representative of FELT-NSTOP, Dr Akbar Ali Ghanghro during an orientation meeting on Polio Eradication and Expanded Program of Immunisation.

The meeting was presided over by Khairpur Deputy Commissioner Munawar Ali Mithani. It was informed that the people of U.C Karoondi, Pacca Chang, Faiz Gunj and others of Taluka Faiz Gunjj and three UCs of Taluka Kotdiji rejected the polio vaccination after parents termed it to be American poison.
