Another rainy spell likely to start from Sunday

Met Office on Friday predcited more winter rains in the country from Sunday till Tuesday.

Spokesman of the Met Office said that another westerly wave is likely to enter Pakistan through Balochistan on Saturday night and expected to grip the upper parts of the country from Sunday (evening/night).

Under the influence of this weather system, scattered rain is expected in upper Punjab, while at isolated places in South Punjab during Saturday (night) to Tuesday.

Met Office said that thunderstorm rain (snowfall over the hills) with occasional hail storm is expected in upper parts of the country including Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions from Sunday (night) to Tuesday.

The system may produce scattered thunderstorm with isolated heavy to very heavy falls accompanied with occasional hailing in Lahore and Gujranwala divisions during Sunday to Monday.
