Ahmed Shehzad injured again

BRISBANE:

Pakistani opener Ahmed Shehzad has reportedly suffered a heel injury during a World Cup practice session in Australia, according to sources.

The injury comes two days before Pakistan’s clash with Zimbabwe.

Shehzad suffered left foot heel injury at a practice session on Thursday and was unable to carry on his practice due to the condition worsening.

Sources state that the injury puts Shehzad’s inclusion in the match ‘in doubt’.

Sarfaraz Ahmed is likely to replace Shehzad in the match on Sunday, if the injury persists.

Shehzad had hurt his arm during a practice session in Adelaide two weeks back. However, the right-handed batsman carried on and played against the arch-rivals (India) in Australia.
