KARACHI-
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on Thursday to head a Sindh Apex Committee meeting and inaugurate Pakistan Expo, a trade fair being held at Expo Centre.
In the meeting, PM Sharif will review implementation of the NAP devised on the heels of December 16 Peshawar tragedy.
The PM is also scheduled to visit the family of former Supreme Court judge Justice (retired) Rana Bhagwandas who passed away from a cardiac arrest a few days earlier.
Minutes ago, news of an inferno near the Expo has been reported, whereby the cause still remains unknown.
The Prime Minister, addressing the Pakistan Expo 2015, stated that the government is taking concrete steps for law and order in the country. He added that Pakistan’s export will ‘hopefully’ increase by $50 billion in three to four years.
PM Nawaz further added that tax payments will be made easier and trade agreements have been made with Sri Lanka, China and Indonesia. He announced the trade policy framework for three years is being looked at , and added that the entire world has appreciated Pakistan’s textile industry.
