The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday stated that the constitutional amendment will not be applicable to the current Senate elections that are to be held soon, local media quoting officials reported.
According to ECP sources, if the recent elections are delayed, the Senate will be dissolved. The ECP also stated that a schedule has already been issued for the Senate elections and the electoral process cannot be changed.
