Sardar Shaukat Hayat Khan who is backed by Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf Gujjar advocate, PML-N central leader and head of Prime Minister Legal Reforms Committee has been elected as general secretary of Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA) unopposed.
His rival candidate barrister Kashif Zubair advocate had withdrawn his nomination papers due to some technical objections.
The likeminded group of Chaudhry Ashraf Gujjar has announced to support Muhammad Ali Khan Abbasi for the office of president in IHCBA upcoming elections and the chances of his success have become bright.
