Pakistan’s off-spinner Saeed Ajmal will return this summer for a third spell with Worcestershire.
Ajmal, cleared to bowl again after remedial work on his action following a ban from international cricket, will be back at New Road in 2015, reported Press Association.
The off-spinner’s early-season availability depends on his selection for and the viability of Pakistan’s tour to Bangladesh.
But Ajmal, a driving force behind Worcestershire’s promotion to Division One of the LV= County Championship, will be arriving at the latest by early July.
The 37-year-old said: ‘I am proud to be part of Worcestershire County Cricket Club and delighted to be coming back for a third spell.
‘I’ve had this difficult spell of my career with my action, but I knew I would come through it and have had the support not only of Pakistan but also Worcestershire throughout.
‘Worcestershire have all the time stood by me, and I can assure them I will repay the faith they have shown in me.’
