Militants blow up gas pipeline in Dera Bugti while FC defuses 8kg bomb planted along Dera Bugti-Sui road

A car blast Sunday killed a minor and injured at least nine others in Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering town with Afghanistan.

The police said that the blast killed an eight-year-old child, identified as Zabihullah, who was passing by. It was immediately not known as to what was the target of blast that rocked the bordering town, police said.

Police sources said that unidentified miscreants had planted a bomb inside a car parked on Taj Road Chaman. The blast also destroyed two vehicles and a motorcycle.

Thick-black smoke was visible on the site of blast, Sardar Muhammad Khondai, a local journalist said.

The injured were rushed to nearby district headquarter hospital Chaman for medical treatment. Police stated the blast smashed the glasses of nearby shops and homes located in the area.

Taj Road is considered to be the commercial hub of Chaman. The attack comes a day after the police defused a bomb planted near the old customs house on the outskirts of Chaman.

PIPELINE BLOWN UP:

Unidentified miscreants Sunday bombed a gas pipeline in Dera Bugti, official sources said.

The miscreants exploded the eight-inch diameter gas pipeline in Pir Koh area of district Dera Bugti, by planting explosives. Following the blast, fire broke out from the pipeline.

Sources told that the blasting of pipeline disrupted gas supply to the Pir Koh plant.

FC SAVES THE DAY:

In the meanwhile, Frontier Corps troops defused a bomb planted along Dera Bugti-Sui road Sunday.

According to details during search operation Frontier Corps spotted 8 Kg bomb planted along Dera Bugti-Sui road. The bomb was planted by terrorists to blow up vehicles passing from the road.

WEAPONS SEIZED IN PANJGUR:

Separately, law enforcement agency recovered arms including SMGs, Kalashnikovs, pistols, magazine and rounds of bullets in Bonistan area of Panjgur district on Sunday.

According to Levies force, weapons including 3 SMGs, 2 Kalashnikovs, 2 magazines of SMG, 4 pistols 30-bore, two short guns, 250 magazines and magazines of pistols were recovered during search operation by law enforcement agency.
