Thirty-year-old Nazia gave birth to quadruplet, three male and one female, at Lahore General Hospital Gynaecology Department on Friday.
All the babies and their mother were declared healthy by the doctors. Nazia, wife of a rickshaw driver belonging to Raiwind was brought to labour room on early Friday morning who gave birth to four babies during a premature delivery.
Assistant Professor of Gynaecology Dr Nyla Yasmin who supervised the operation said that the delivery was carried out in normal procedure. She told that the average weight of the babies is 1.75 kg.
Father of the babies Khalid said that he got married 11 years before and he already has one son while three of his babies had died previously.
He expressed his gratefulness to Allah Almighty for blessing him with sons and daughters in a single delivery.
He also thanked doctors and staff of LGH who provided all medical facilities to her wife free of cost in accordance with Punjab Government policy.
