At least six coal miners trapped inside a coalmine died of suffocation in Loralai, Balochistan.
The coal miners got trapped inside the mine in Tehsil Duki of Loralai following an explosion on Thursday afternoon.
Local labourers, on self-help basis, succeeded in rescuing 13 coal miners before the rescue team arrived with a 15-hour delay from Quetta.
Most coalmines in Pakistan are notorious for poor safety standards and facilities. Similar deadly accidents have occurred in the past.
