The launching ceremony of Rabia Hassan’s book “Ethics of Killing” was held at the Lahore Press Club on Wednesday. IA Rehman, Hussain Naqi, Pervaiz Hassan, Mak Lodhi and Rabia Hassan addressed the function.
The speakers said that terrorism and extremism have caused serious loss to the country. More than 50,000 people have sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism but the miscreants cannot demoralise the Pakistani nation. They said that the entire nation is united against terrorism and the nation will eliminate terrorism through unity.
“A number of precious human lives had been lost in a terrorist attack on Tuesday at a distance of few hundred metres from the press club but presence of the people in the launching ceremony of the book written against terrorism is proof of this fact that the nation will never be defeated by terrorists,” the speakers said.
They said that despite loss of thousands of precious human lives, the Pakistani nation is more enthusiastic and determined to fight against terrorism. They said that the entire nation is supporting those fighting against terrorism.
Speakers were of the view that it is encouraging to write on the topic of terrorism. They said that Rabia Hassan set an example by writing on this topic and her effort is commendable. They said that all religions of the world give lesson of peace and love. They said that Islam has stressed upon the good behaviour with all human beings whereas Allah Almighty in His last Holy Book has termed the murder of an innocent person as the murder of entire humanity. They said that those killing their Muslim brethren in the name of Islam cannot be called Muslims.
