Lawyers of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Wednesday observed a strike against the attack on Lahore police lines, disrupting the hearings of various important cases including Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) corruption case and Benazir Bhutto murder case.

Strike was carried out by Islamabad High Court (IHC), Islamabad District Bar, Rawalpindi High Court and Rawalpindi District Bar on the call of Punjab Bar Council.

Lawyers boycotted the courts proceeding and hoisted black flags on the bar rooms.

The strike has affected the hearing of Benazir Bhutto murder case which was later adjourned till Thursday (tomorrow) whereas OGRA corruption case also faced difficulties due to lawyers protest.

Lawyers urged the government to take serious steps for the eradication of terrorism by executing terrorists.
