The Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan Bench Tuesday summoned the deputy attorney general on Wednesday (today) to assist the court on bail application of the head of an NGO.
Petitioner Ziaur Rahman, head of Awaz Foundation, contended that he conducted an exercise of local government election after getting permission from the Punjab government and district administration.
He maintained that he had not done any illegal thing but a case under sections 420, 468 and 471 of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 13 of the Prevention of Anti-National Activities Act 1974 was registered against him.
