Islamabad Police have arrested 15 suspects during search operation in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said here on Monday.
He said that Islamabad Inspector General Police (IGP) Tahir Alam Khan directed all SDPOs and SHOs to enhance patrolling as well as checking in various areas of the city and conduct search operation at slum areas, Afghan habitats, under construction buildings, workshops, bus stands and inns.
Following his directions, sub-divisional police officer performing in Islamabad headed this search operation and station house officers of Sabzi Mandi Police Station along with police team conducted search in the area of Sector I-11/4 Kachi Abadi and under construction buildings as well as plazas there. They succeeded in nabbing 35 suspects who are being investigated further.
The IGP as also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
