Two robbers killed, SHO injured in crossfire

At least two robbers were killed and a station house officer (SHO) injured in crossfire on Sunday while arms and stolen motorcycles were recovered from the robbers.

District Police Officer (DPO) Okara Captain (r) Muhammad Faisal Rana said that police had taken two accused under custody to point out hideouts of their cohorts in Makki-Maddni Town when the accomplices of the culprits attacked the police.

In crossfire, two criminals identified as Asif alias Sunny and Sajid alias Sajju wanted by police in various cases of murder, robbery and others crimes were killed.

The police recovered arms including Kalashnikovs, pistols, bullets and three motorcycles being used in committing crimes from the possession of the robbers killed in fire exchange.

SHO Inspector Tahir Waheed sustained wounds in the firing by dacoits who was rushed to DHQ Okara for treatment.
