A three-day National Immunisation Campaign to curb polio virus in Punjab is kicking off from today.
The Health Department has constituted 40,000 mobile and fixed vaccination teams who will administer polio drops to more than 18 million children up to the age of 5 years.
The Health Department spokesman said that special teams had been stationed on permanent and transactional points like bus terminals, railway stations, motorways and airport in order to administer polio drops to children.
Similarly, in all the government hospitals and health centres arrangement had been ensured to extend facility of polio drops to the children, the spokesman added.
