ISLAMABAD-
A total of 184 candidates have submitted nomination papers for the Senate elections coming up next month, Election Commission of Pakistan said on Monday.
ECP said that 23 candidates from Punjab, 39 from Khyber Pakhtunkkhwa, 28 from Sindh, 42 from Balochistan, nine from Islamabad, and 43 from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) have filed their nomination papers for the 52 seats of the upper house of the Parliament.
The nomination papers will be scrutinized on Feb 19 and 20.
The nomination papers could be challenged by Feb 21st while a final list of candidates will be issued on the Feb. 25.
The polling is scheduled to be held in the National Assembly and all four provincial assemblies on March 5.
