At least three people were killed and 25 others injured on Saturday as two bogies of Karachi-bound Shalimar Express coming from Lahore derailed near Hyderabad on Saturday.
Police said that train met with the tragic accident in Dheetha area in suburbs of Hyderabad when the wheel of the last carriage disengaged, derailing the bogies.
Police and rescue personnel shifted the injured to a local hospital, where according to hospital sources, condition of five people was serious.
Pakistan Railways officials reached the site of incident and resumed the service after the derailed carriage was detached.
