Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that special children are no less than normal children with regards to talent and ability, and they can be made useful citizens if they are provided the best educational and training facilities. He said that Punjab government is implementing a comprehensive programme of rehabilitation, which aims to help look after, educate, and train, special children.
The Chief Minister said that educational facilities have been improved in institutions catering to special children, and talented special children have been included in the laptops distribution programme. He said that Punjab government is providing every possible assistance to the institutions working for the rehabilitation of special children.
Shahbaz Sharif said that besides a monthly stipend, government is also providing books, uniforms, transport, equipment and other facilities, free of cost to the children in the institutions aimed at rehabilitating special children. He said that special children need special attention from society and PAF School of Special Children Cantt is playing an important role with regards to the education and training of such children. Shahbaz Sharif said this while talking to teachers and children at PAF School of Special Children Cantt.
