The assistance of Chinese leadership and people in progress and development of Pakistan is highly commendable, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday. Matters related to promotion of Pak-China cooperation and projects under Pak-China economic corridor were discussed in detail.
“China is a sincere and trustworthy friend of Pakistan and has stood by us in every hour of need,” the chief minister said, adding that both the countries have always supported each other’s stance on regional and international issues.
He said again repeated his rhetoric that Pak-China friendship was higher than Himalayas, sweeter than honey, stronger than steel and deeper than ocean. He said that China had proved to be a true friend of Pakistan by helping it in the development of various sectors.
He said exploration work of mineral reserves in Chiniot-Rajwa was also given to a Chinese company in a transparent manner which had discovered deposits of iron, copper and gold through hard work of ten months. He said that the Chinese cooperation and role in the exploration of mineral reserves in Punjab will always be remembered.
