The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government does not believe in politics of provincialism and ethnicity, said Federal Information Minister Pervez Rashid while talking to journalists on Friday.
Rashid said that the prime minister was in contact with international leaders to seek their help to take the country out of current crisis.
Answering a question, Rashid said that the PML-N has issued tickets to veteran and experienced candidates to contest the upcoming Senate elections. He dispelled the impression that the party ignored small provinces while issuing tickets for Senate polls saying that the tickets had been issued in a fair and transparent manner.
“On one hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan criticises other parties for welcoming important personalities in their party fold but on the other hand, he himself welcomes deserters,” he said while alluding to former Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar and Barrister Chaudhry Sultan Mehmood, who recently joined PTI.
Rashid demanded of the PTI chief to provide written evidences of poll rigging to the Election Commission to substantiate his allegations, which he had levelled from the container, when his party was staging a sit-in in Islamabad.
